In his over two decades of architectural practice, Kuo-Chien Shen has specialized in spatial innovation that integrates advanced technology, cultural context, and sustainable strategies. As a Partner at KRIS YAO | ARTECH (2013–2025), he led internationally acclaimed public and industrial projects, including TSMC’s R&D Centers in Taiwan and the U.S., the New Taipei City Art Museum, the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, and the Wuzhen Theater, earning numerous global awards.

CROSS FOUNDRY will be co-founded with Taiwan’s most cutting-edge digital fabrication lab Roso, creating a new platform centered on integrating advanced manufacturing in architecture. The platform will combine design, fabrication, and environmental strategies to drive the adoption of low-carbon, energy-efficient, and locally sourced materials, as well as the practice of long-lifespan architecture. By bringing AI-assisted design, smart materials, and other frontier research directly into real-world projects, it will create a complete link from concept to implementation.
